A/Prof Polyakov holds four separate Masters Degrees spanning the fields of reproductive medicine, biostatistics, medical law, and medical ethics.

He is an active obstetrician and fertility specialist working in private practice in East Melbourne and routinely performs a high volume of laparoscopic gynaecological surgeries, including advanced fertility procedures to rectify conditions such as uterine fibroids, PCOS, endometriosis, and more.
